2022 is upon us and it’s time to pick out your New Years’ resolutions once again. It could be spending more time with family, getting a gym membership, or spending less time on social media.

My personal favorite resolutions are built into the home, however!

I am sharing my TOP 5 Home Resolutions that will not only change the way you live in your home but make it more “You.” Where you spend your time reflects your mood and lifestyle, and that’s why adding Home Resolutions is so important!

1. Everything Gets a Home

Who else falls into organizational rabbit holes online?! There is something so calming about seeing a pantry sorted by snack & bathroom drawers perfectly separated by bins. I personally just did this to my home and trust me, it is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done.  Giving everything a place means knowing exactly where it belongs when it’s time to put things away, and that is the key to an organized home.

2. Add More HOME Into Your Home

A home is never complete without the personal touches that make you unique. It could be as simple as adding fun wallpaper to the hallway bathroom or adding a custom bench in the laundry area. In the last 2 years we have spent so much time inside so why not make it better reflect your personal taste?

3. Allocate Some Time to Relax

I promise it is okay to let yourself take a break and just relax. For me, I make sure my Alexa is close by so I can turn on music from wherever I am in the house. I also keep a basket of super soft throw blankets next to my couch so it becomes a quick “me time” routine to jump on the couch and the whole family can cuddle & relax together.

4. Set Up the Home Office of Your Dreams

Many activities are finally coming back since the start of the pandemic, but remote working looks like something that will be staying with us for a bit. Having an area set up specifically as a designated work-only zone can help break apart your house and aid in a work-life balance.

5. Bring More Greenery Inside

Not only will having plants inside maintain a beautiful aesthetic for your house, but plants also help increase happiness among people. Seeing nature elicits a relaxing response and that’s exactly how you should feel in your home! The green will also help break up large rooms into separate spaces.
